ATA Certification is a way for you to increase your credibility amongst parents, students and other educators. All ATA Certified tutors receive an ATA Certification ID, listing on the ATA site and access to potential clients through TutorFind, one of our partner companies.

Because ATA Certification is the only nationally recognized standard of its caliber within the private tutoring sector, ATA Certification helps you to attract more clients and demand more competitive hourly rates for your services.

Requirements For ATA Certification:

1. Submitted online application
2. Minimum one year tutoring/teaching experience
3. Minimum BachelorŐs Degree
4. Verification of two professional references (to be provided on application)
5. Three-Tier Criminal Background Check (completed by ATA with information provided on your application)
6. $75 Initial Certification Fee*

* Certification Fee includes cost of criminal background check and screening. Certified Tutors will also receive our quarterly newsletter and access to our unique training, support materials, online services and more! Finally, 10% of all Certification Fees go to support the ATA Foundation Scholarships which help at risk youth receive tutoring services.
