The Board Members

Dr. Deborah Bergeron

Deborah Bergeron has been working in education for over 20 years. Dr. Bergeron has worked as a K-12 Certified teacher and has worked as a public school teacher, private tutor, educational services provider and is currently an elementary school administrator. In 1993, Dr. Bergeron founded TutorFind, a private supplemental educational services company, providing private tutoring to individual students and government organizations such as the Veteran’s Administration, Foster Care and Adoption Services, and public school systems through No Child Left Behind’s Supplemental Educational Services program.

Dr. Bergeron was a founding member of the American Tutoring Association, working with colleagues to help establish standards within the tutoring industry. Dr. Bergeron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Education, a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and a PhD in Education Policy and Education Psychology. Her research has centered around tutoring and Supplemental Educational Services and has published a book on the topic, THE IMPACT OF ATTENDANCE IN SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES ON STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT  Dr. Bergeron continues to work as a private tutor, tutor trainer, and public school educator. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and four children.

Mr. Estrada
Mr. Estrada

Mr. Estrada is a founding partner of the consulting firm Dering & Estrada (D&E). Prior to forming D&E, Mr. Estrada was one of the founders of ServiceBench. He was the CEO or COO during his nine years at ServiceBench and with Mr. Dering, led its growth to over 100 people before it was sold in 2008. Mr. Estrada has over 25 years of experience in corporate management of leading software application and development firms.

Mr. Estrada was CEO and founder of Sideout Technologies, Inc. which successfully developed customized Internet based software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Sideout Technologies, Mr. Estrada led software development for DSR, a government contract firm and was instrumental in spurring rapid growth of the company from 3 to 150 people.

Mr. Estrada holds multiple corporate advisory board positions including Registria, Three Pillar Global, Natural Insight and TutorFind. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from Virginia Tech.


Dr. Kristin Forrester

Dr. Kristin Forrester completed her BS in Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University and her MS in Justice Administration at University of Louisville, home of the world renowned Southern Police Institute of Security and Justice and the National Crime Prevention Institute. Kristin's PhD was earned at George Mason University in Education Policy. After the completion of her MS she began working for a prominent security firm. Her love for and desire to help children brought her to the teaching field where she worked as a special education teacher. Since leaving the classroom, Kristin Forrester has worked in school improvement, research, evaluation and education policy consulting. Kristin is the education editor for Virginia Virtucon, a conservative blog covering National and Virginia politics and is a Councilwoman in the Town of Dumfries, VA.   She currently works as the research and evaluation specialist for Department of Defense Schools in New York, Virginia and Puerto Rico where she does professional development and research in support of continuous school improvement.  
Kristin serves on the board of Bravery Project, a non-profit organization advocating the interests of domestic violence survivors through the arts.
